A flat panel solar unit will be installed on your roof. The solar unit contains copper pipes running through a 4mm thick glass covered collector which is connected to a water storage tank either on your roof or a split system ground mounted storage tank. The solar panel draws the energy of the sun into the hot water system to heat the water and a pump within the hot water system then moves the water around the tank using a hot logic sensor, to ensure a supply of hot water.

Your solar hot water system also comes with an electric or gas booster for those days when the sun doesn't shine warmly enough to generate the heat for the water or when there is no solar radiation such as in the evening.
